hi all this was a group that invited me to there dig 220 acres of very short stubble
Apsley estate SP11 6NA
dig on 13th August is back on the fields we visited that produced the Saxon goodies and of course the Gold Noble.
The landowner has now removed all of the grass which covered a fair amount of the larger field which is undetected.
There is one field which we do not have access to that we did on the first dig and is marked in shaded orange, but rest assured this is not the field that produced the Saxon bits or the noble.
In one of the fields you may notice an area around 20m sq that will be shut to other members for the first couple of hours due to a potential hoard being found on our last visit, it is only fair that the finder has first shout at finding the rest.
The landowner is ...aware of this group of coins that came out and although they are interesting they are not yet legally treasure trove, however let us see what Sunday brings and if more turn up then procedures should be followed.
we had a good day there was about 50 ish people there with some nice finds as to the price this was £20 this i was willing to pay as it was just down the road from me the dig signs was very easy to follow even i could not miss the dig I have seen some very nice finds as to me I was using my xp deus 13inch coil ver 4.1
